Installation requires little expertise

If you are fitting it to a TPI car then the plan to keep the old bracket on the spool it is riveted to needs to be ground down for reuse.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Packaging ugly

Good money for coils

Bought for my 1995 c1500 with 305 5spd because it was recommended by tbichips.com. It took the smell out of my exhaust and the truck runs a lot smoother, I even got 2mpg. If you are installing this in the c1500 you will need to drill out the brackets on the old tank and use the screws in the bag to screw the brackets onto the flamethrower coil. I definitely recommend it

Pros
  • 50,000 volts
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Works intermittently

Product worked intermittently. Some days it worked flawlessly, other days it misfired as I drove around town on the road, and twice it got me stuck. He dies walking down the street. After waiting 10 minutes and starting the engine, it started again. I returned this product for a full refund. I initially chose this coil over MSD because other reviews had poor MSD quality control, but based on my experience with this coil I will give MSD a try.

Pros
  • Extremely low primary resistance values
Cons
  • Unsafe

It ran for about 6 months and the slip was intermittent and getting worse. Molding where the wire connection for ECM and ICM is bad, causing the connectors to slip off. My truck is mostly stock so I'm not expecting much, but I don't want the connectors to be loose and misfire. I installed a new Delco air conditioner, the connections are tight and it now works very well. I want an exchange

Pros
  • Legal in all 50 states and Canada (CARB EO # D-57-21) *
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
