The battery life in the previous version lasted more than 7 days, giving a lot of time to prompt you to charge. The newer version is only 3 days old and mostly I only use sound alarm. I like the new vibration setting, no need to use a high static dog alarm. The plastic collar isn't my favorite either as it doesn't hold up well.

My puppy swam in it and wore it hiking in the mountains. This is a small 10 pound dachshund and the lightweight is perfect for him. I never found collars like that until my little one ran away one night. Now all I have to do is give him a beep (no disturbance) and he comes running. This is great if you have a dog that chases squirrels, rabbits or cats because they quickly learn to come back on cue or command.

This product is amazing. My dogs ran away as soon as we let them out. They've only escaped once since having them. My dogs behave like this. They don't leave us, so there are no more lines. They run freely across the yard without a fence or dog fence. Absolutely no barking, even when our neighbors dogs go nuts. We love this product and will always recommend it. We have several dogs that we use it on. Now I know my dogs are safe.

We bought a Petsafe remote collar for our large rescue dog. Our little dog (a Yorkie) had to be on a leash at all times. We trained our lifeguard in a week! With only one hit at the lowest level. We were hoping that the small dog collar would also fit our 8 year old Yorkshire. He was also trained for a week! These collars are amazing. Easy enough to use but not strong enough for our dog and dies quickly.
