I bought this case for my nailer. The nailer fits perfectly. There are 3 pieces (layers) of measured foam of different thicknesses in the bottom half of the case and I used the one that offered the best secure fit when closed. I like the case but I think it's a little pricey. Still glad I bought it to protect my air nailer - I can put tools and oil in it as well as a bunch of nails.

Surprised that there are 4 different layers of gray foam in this case that match yours Needs a two inch layer, a one inch layer, and then a thin layer of foam about half an inch I left a half inch layer on the bottom and an egg crate layer on top to make it a perfect match for my nail gun! This case also has a hole on the top right of the handle to fit a padlock if needed. Great value for my needs!

I was happy to see that it wasn't "pre-cut" as such inserts tend not to be that durable for everyday use.
