Broke after first use

I saw several people using this cutter, so I decided to try it myself. It was easy to assemble but annoying because the wire wouldn't stay in place. When I assembled it it wasn't in the middle. I tried to fix it and then cut off a bar of soap. The soap I cut wasn't solid, but the wire broke off completely at the end even halfway through cutting. I made sure I assembled it correctly before trying it. Very disappointed with this product. It's nothing more than a thin cheese slicer, although I'm…

Order different wires as its not that.

The product itself is great, easy to put together and works as it should. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE WIRE. It's a joke, the first one broke after 10 cuts of my CP soap that wasn't fully cured. I assembled according to the instructions so I change the wire and the second wire broke after 8 cuts which is ridiculous. I bought this so I don't have to cut the bc manually, I can't line up every bar and it takes longer! I don't have time to order more so I'm extremely dissatisfied with the wires. I…

You get what you pay for (good or bad)

This is a reasonable soap cutter for the price 1) Easy to assemble. Took less than 5 minutes. instructions were included. I have an extra cable. 2) As far as I can tell, the side guides for this cutter appear to be perpendicular to the cut and measure lines, allowing the soap to be squared. Dimensions are in centimeters (so 2.5 is closest to 1 inch if that's what you want). If you overtighten the screws, the handle may break. I don't have one, but I can see that it has buckled slightly under…

Well that's interesting.

The product image is quite confusing. It shows three small cylindrical elements - I only have two. I also have two wires (cool!). There is no printed instruction in the kit but it is in the photos of the product. Here are a few things that will help: 1. When assembling, I stuck the top of the cutter into a block of wood and attached the wire. THEN I stuck the other end of the wire into the screw and used the body of the screw to push it all the way. I followed the directions in the picture but…
