The display face is not waterproof

I received this to replace the pool filter display which had the display face filled with rainwater, well it did the same after the first rain

I bought it for a pool filter. .

I bought it to use on the pool filter. I had to leave town for a month but didn't have time to install it. I left it outside on a flat plastic cover where water wouldn't pool. The chrome ring is completely rusted.

Handy and inexpensive manometer for undemanding applications.

This gauge is easy to read and appears to be reasonably constructed. I don't know how accurate the accuracy is, but I can see the pressure gauge responding when I intentionally change the pressure in the system with the fill and drain controls on the boiler. For my needs, namely for general stadium pressure monitoring, this is normal!
