Completely useless. best lock nut

Should have read other negative reviews. Whatever the insert, it's NOT nylon. These nuts are so tight that they cannot be driven in with a percussion instrument or the reverb removed. You might be tempted to take that as a positive, but even if you want to make the installation permanent, you still can't fully tighten it without damaging equipment and tools. Completely defective.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • New Competitors

Some of the cable ties on the screw will not tighten or will loosen.

Every fifth person is hanging from a bolt, it can only be removed by cutting the bolt. Gently pull it on until you reach the nylon section where they tie. This is NOT a problem with cross threads. I assume there is a small problem with the diameter of the nylon insert. Most of them work well, but one in five gets expensive and time consuming if you have to cut a screw and start over.

Pros
  • One-year trial period
Cons
  • Clarity

Defective product! the best in nuts

They've been broken in the worst way possible. As others have pointed out, most work well up to the nylon section, after which they bond irreversibly. I destroyed (broke) three bolts before I gave up completely. There was only 1 successful one, which I also took out of principle. Even with a broken stem, it takes a lot of strength to fix a stuck locknut on a 5/16" bolt. A trip back to Lowe's for the usual nuts and lockwashers interrupted an otherwise productive project. Grrr.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Big and bulky

The nuts were faulty BUT the customer service was GREAT

I ripped off two bolts trying to fully install these nuts on the bolt and then unscrewed them as they wouldn't let solve. I used ¾" and ⅜" bolts with washers to bolt on the tool box in my truck. On each bolt the nut was unscrewed about 1/4 inch when they stopped turning. After a 15 minute nut fight with everyone trying to unscrew the nut, the bolts broke. The locking material must not be the same material that I assigned to the bolt. Drop it and they were great to deal with!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Lock Nuts Stick Nuts

Wow. it's not rocket science, it's nuts and bolts. Some of these screws and locknuts are jammed, leaving the hardware loose but unable to tighten or disassemble. The next step is to cut the stud off the plastic roof of my golf cart with a hacksaw, no easy task. To make sure the bolts weren't twisted, I took them to my shop, secured the hex bolt in a vise, and gently tightened the locknut. After three turns it also jammed. My experience is buying hardware at a hardware store that you know sells…

Stainless steel fasteners, expected wear

These nuts work exactly as expected. Look good and perform well outdoors. Do not use stainless steel nuts on stainless steel bolts unless you are using an anti-seize agent. Stainless steel paired with regular steel works well. Abrasion is a known problem with stainless steel threaded connections and can seize a bolt and nut if you don't know what you're doing. These nuts work well within the specified mechanical properties. You need to know what you're doing and look for information when you're

  • Upgradeable

To be honest, these are the worst locknuts. They stick about 1/2 inch

To be honest these are the worst locknuts ever. and 70 percent of them jam before they get that far, and then you have to physically break the machine screw to get them loose. over a dozen nuts and bolts. The threading on them is just wrong and they grip very easily, the good reviews are obviously from a previous batch. And it happens the same way with Chinese and American made stainless steel screws. Lock Nuts I used to work well from Bolt Depot. It's just that this is a totally unacceptable…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Useless Features

I used these stainless steel locking nuts with matching stainless steel bolts to build a bunk bed. About 1/3 of the nuts that are stuck on the bolt after the bolt has passed through simply went through the nylon lock built into the nut before the nut/bolt was tightened to secure the respective parts of the bunk bed being worked on. The jammed nuts would not loosen, they would get stuck and the bolt had to be cut off and the nuts/bolts replaced with new ones. When it turns out that something in…
