Set of 2 Tuff Support Rear Hatch Lift Supports for 2009-2019 Fiat 500 Review

Bought for my child's Fiat 500. Fits perfectly, lifts the tailgate as expected and is very easy to fit. We used a ladder to open the tailgate during installation; I would recommend doing something like this otherwise you will need someone to hold the tailgate while you install it.

Replaced tailgate lifts on our 2013 Fiat 500 Sport. Fits perfectly, just go to YouTube to see how. It's really easy to do. Thought I would have to do it at the auto repair shop: no! Attention: The lifts work better than the original factory lifts. Now you have to remember that when you open the hatch you have to throw your head back! Almost nosed it the first few times. Be warned.

They fit my 2012 Fiat perfectly. To remove the old cylinders you will need a small flat head screwdriver to loosen the clip after which you can remove the end of the cylinder from the mounting ball. Loosen both clamps before removing the cylinder as you will need to hold the tailgate up to prevent it from falling. Then simply snap the new cylinder onto the mounting balls. Repeat for the other side. Presto!

It was perfect! They actually look stronger than the factory ones that came with the car. However, the simple installation did not come with any instructions. I saw they would come with instructions but no. Anyway I could have done it myself and was planning to but my mechanic friend just told me to hold the trunk and he removed the old ones and installed the new ones in under 4 minutes. No tools are required except something to pop out the old ones. off (at least for my machine). Excellent…
