Poor workmanship, good for towing products and winches

Works well to get my kids in our SUV. However, we found it to be poorly made in the sense that the right side is lower when installed. When it was finished/welded together, the square tube was not aligned properly as other reviewers claimed.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Small issues

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Be careful, it doesn't fit properly on the hitch.

The device itself doesn't fit exactly. Installation was easy, you get three different settings, which is a nice feature. Has a good weight but the design is less than desirable. The two black plugs are very thin and feel like they could fall off at any moment. The chrome finish goes well with my truck's black paint job. As for "adjusting", I just take some tape and wrap it around once or twice and it should fit. What the hell no one will see anyway.

  • cool product

Works great as an 'old dog' or 'big dog' step in the bed of my Volvo van

Love the adjustability. When the dogs are around I slide it into the last hole which gives my 11 year old Labrador and 10 month old Labrador puppy a nice step into the back of the Volvo XC60 van. They both knew it was there almost immediately and it really helps lift large dogs safely compared to the tilt and lift method to help. the original molding of my rear bumper below. It looks like he should have been there.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Keep calm

Not heavy to lift and rated for 350 pounds

Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer my question about the weight of this item. Dog food has become a challenge. It's not heavy at all and the stage is rated at 350 pounds. (158 kg). The item just arrived and the gum on it stinks but it really shouldn't be sitting on my kitchen counter. If you don't want it to go away, order a locking pin. Update: 08/10/2020 Safety pin arrived. Today I "installed" the footrest all the way into the clutch. I didn't want him to go too far and I'm very…

We recommend this step!

I first bought this running board about a year ago just to have some kind of running board and it looked really good on my truck. There is a lot of chrome on both the step and my truck. I read a review at the time that the car had a rear end and the kickstand took a blunt blow and did not damage the customer's truck. I didn't think about it until today when I was at the back! The sports car that hit me shattered its front end and destroyed my Bully Hitch Step (the Bully Step went through its…

I had to replace mine. but why do you ask?

HOW DURABLE ARE THEY? Check out the photos and read this review. Well I will say that this product has passed the tests it has received well and by that I mean running at 40-45 mph from a 2015 Nissan Altima. Despite the damage, I could stand on it. Obviously not sure, but the other person's car was damaged. Poor car. Anyway, fixed my car and bought a new one. It literally reduced some of the damage I would have had, but luckily mine was completely cosmetic. In reality, it supports my weight…

Bully Hitch Step - Hitch Steps

I received the product and installed it on a 2020 F150. Overall I can say this is a great product and a fair price. A few questions. The manufacture of the hitch is a little loose for the recipient. I understand that this cannot be accurate to the millimeter, but there is some play in it. OK NOT MANUFACTURER OR SELLER. This is the third product sold and clearly used by AMAZON in about a month. The box it came in was open with two latches missing. The seal has not been preserved. If you look at…

Looks great. - Hitch Steps

This Hitch Step Bully took less to install than brush your teeth! It came quickly and intact. I guess he weighs about 5 kilos. I ordered a CURT 23518 Black 5/8" diameter hitch lock that fits a 2" receiver that fits snugly in the pre-drilled holes; although play is present and may rattle. Someone mentioned adding #11 O-rings to solve the problem. It was installed on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a factory hitch. There is also play between the clutch and the mount, so I took the supplied…

Aesthetic and functional!

I really like buying the Bully CR-600. I opted for the simpler offering from Bully as opposed to its other sister model which has an integrated LED brake light. This adds a lot more protection to the rear bumper, but I find it useful for safely getting onto the roof to clear snow or leaves. It's also very aesthetic as the polished finish precisely matches other OEM chrome emblems and trim. I've noticed that it rattles a bit when I step on it, but I don't hear a sound when the pilot moves. One…
