Like a candy bird! best in food

I use Sal year round as there are some woodpeckers in my area who love it. Berry nut bars seem to be a favorite for all birds. I've seen chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, wrens and those cute little nuthatches feeding on those little tree trunks. They seem to eat it like candy and it quickly disappears. I would buy this product again.

Pros
  • Log Jammer Berry N nut nut plug
Cons
  • Clarity

birds love it! as food

My birds are crazy about it! I have a log with shallow holes, so I cut each log into five small pieces and fill in the holes. This is the second time I buy them and I have to order more as they love them so much. I experimented and filled other holes with a different brand. Well, they're still there, and that junk is gone! Great product, great price!

Pros
  • Great source of energy and attracts a lot of birds
Cons
  • Not as fat as other options

Fits in my feeders and Southern California birds love it

I have a Songbird Essentials log feeder that I previously bought (from Kaytee and another brand I can't remember) were unfortunately too small/thin and slipped out when pressed. However, these fit perfectly. I wish there were 4 in the pack (one for each hole) instead of 3. Another downside is the price. The weight is actually lighter than the weight of a standard tallow cake, but they cost significantly more than the $1 I usually pay for a tallow cake. So I started slicing lard cakes for my…

Pros
  • Fill the Jammer Bird Feeder with special lubricating plugs
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
