I use Sal year round as there are some woodpeckers in my area who love it. Berry nut bars seem to be a favorite for all birds. I've seen chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, wrens and those cute little nuthatches feeding on those little tree trunks. They seem to eat it like candy and it quickly disappears. I would buy this product again.

My birds are crazy about it! I have a log with shallow holes, so I cut each log into five small pieces and fill in the holes. This is the second time I buy them and I have to order more as they love them so much. I experimented and filled other holes with a different brand. Well, they're still there, and that junk is gone! I have a Songbird Essentials log feeder that I previously bought (from Kaytee and another brand I can't remember) were unfortunately too small/thin and slipped out when pressed.
