[Highly accurate and reliable CD & DVD recording] Supports full range of common DVD & CD formats including DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, DVD-RAM, CD-RW and CD-R. [Enhanced Recording Stabilization Control] Ensures all drives in a single duplication environment burn uniformly to avoid disproportionate speed fluctuations, which lead either to failed discs or less compatible completed discs. [DVD+R DL overburn] Expands the writing capacity from 8.5GB up to 8.7GB* (*Based on media compatibility), to allow the user to capture more content on a single DVD+R DL disc. [Industrial tray gears & pulleys] provides a more stable disc loading tray for a longer life cycle (1 cycle equals 1 tray extend from and then return into the drive). [No Donut Ring] Prevents uneven concentric ring patterns causing β€œDonut Rings” on the recording layer.

PnP made easy! the best internal CD and DVD drives

It was literally plug and play. From the box. Installed in a closet. Power and data lines connected. The operating system recognized the device and corrected the driver. Ready. Can't ask for more.

Bulky means a small sac-like blister.

The item is *probably* fine assuming it *might* get to me fine, but it's important for other customers to know it comes in a small bubble bag. It's possible that it arrived in working condition, but it's also possible that it arrived broken or with a reduced lifespan.

Quality block for tower cases or external SATA adapters

Bought two of these as you won't be seeing them again. 10,000,000 times better than the laptop CD drives they put in prepackaged desktops.
