Cheap and works: tools and equipment

My old Ex500 flywheel magnets fell off and were gnawing. So I had to put a new flywheel in there and this tool made removing the flywheel easier. Also, it was cheap compared to others. Need to remove the old Ex500 flywheel? BUY THIS! Very easy.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

great item on Tools & Equipment

I bought this puller for my bike but it was the wrong size. My bike manual said I wanted this one but it was wrong and luckily they were happy to deal with the situation and refunded my money. This puller was the cheapest I found online after searching for at least an hour and the fast shipping made it a great purchase.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • small item

Quality workmanship perfect for the job

Whilst this puller could have been replaced with a hardened threaded bolt this was not an easy task in my case. Like others, I was afraid to pay for bolt shipping when I could just go to my local hardware store. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything with the right threads and hardened steel that would do the job. Overall I think the cost, fit and finish was good. It did the job right and I didn't have to struggle or cut the thread in the process. Worth the cost and saved a lot of headaches.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

This puller worked great, maybe they need to bevel the end a bit.

This puller worked great, the end may need a bit of beveling as there was a gap at the end of the thread where it met the crankshaft when the flywheel was pushed out. Because of this, the puller did not want to unscrew the coil. This was done with a little cleaning of the threads and smoothing/chamfering the end with a file. With an electrocution (sorry, it was a laugh at the hammer method), he ripped off the flywheel that had been on the bike for 27 years. I give a thumbs up.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket wrench
