Pre-Build Inspection

I use them for a bridge building project in physics class. The balsa was mostly good quality, but some sticks had weak spots. This may not be a problem for most, but we built bridges to break, so strength was a necessary ingredient and some groups felt left out. Overall this is a really good price for a decent product.

Pros
  • Light Wood
Cons
  • High Price

I received them well packaged and intact. They have a density of 14-16+# (2.2-2.5 grams per stick), definitely NOT light. But as an aircraft builder I use both ultra light and hard parts for various parts on my models so they were still a good buy. I wish I had received the material that all the other reviewers complained about being too soft and light.

Pros
  • Model number: 52734
Cons
  • unreliable

Perfect fit for bridge model

Several reviewers have complained about these strips but I have had no problems. Bought 3 packs, all arrived safely. None were warped, all were 1/8" and cheap. They're thin so you don't have to press hard to break them, but that's what I wanted. My high school students use adult scissors to cut strips and make bridges build then we load each bridge until it breaks. These strips were perfect. I'm sure you can buy heavier and stronger strips but the quality of these 1/8" strips was good.

Pros
  • Country of Origin: USA
Cons
