APU-72 does not work with softphone

None. Not compatible as advertised. I have contacted Plantronics for help and troubleshooting. They also agreed that it was incompatible as stated. I need to return this item.

Works with PC phone cords

I know this is described as for a phone but I have a C054 base with a CS540 headset and can confirm it works with it as a USB headset from Windows. The headset has an idle timer and turns itself off after a while, but still beeps when a call comes in. Just turn the headset back on with the button and it works fine. It may be necessary to go into the device settings and make sure this is the default value, but in my case this wasn't necessary.

Works with computer

The company I worked for switched from Cisco desktop phones to softphones. This adapter allowed me to connect the headset to my laptop for use with Windows 10. Plantronics Windows software picked it up as soon as it was connected.
