Very important. Strong magnet.

Magnatiles is a NAMED Brand. You can rest assured that they are the safest when it comes to chemical composition (BPA-free, lead-free, etc.). They have rivets, not just glue, to hold the magnets in place. You have a wide range of colors, especially with different sets. They have fun details like doors and stairs. Their isosceles triangles actually form perfect circles, unlike many other brands. However, they are expensive. Their magnets are also smaller than some of the newer brands including…

As good as Magna Tiles and maybe better

I bought these for my 4 children for Christmas after weeks of agonizing over reviews for this product and several other magnetic tile sets. We already have 132 Magna tiles and enjoy playing with them. I read the Playmags reviews and was confused because some reviews said even a simple tower would collapse, others said they were indistinguishable from Magna Tiles. I decided to take the risk and am very glad I did. Perhaps the difference in reviews is that the Playmag magnets have recently been…

The new magnets are really stronger!

I love the new playmags! We received the 150 piece set for Christmas last year (2015) and the kids loved it. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the magnets weren't as strong as I thought they would be. We were able to build decent structures, but everything seemed to fall apart after getting so big. According to my kids, Nanny's Magformers were much sturdier and held together better. I considered buying another brand but price wise I just didn't want to spend the extra money for a better magnet with

We haven't had enough for Novelty & Gag Toys

We bought this set almost 2 years ago. I have 1, 3 and 10 year olds that play with them every day. Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues we ran into that I've just ignored for the past few years. First, if you build a cube with just four squares, they don't line up properly. So you have a lopsided cube. Partly because of this, it easily breaks down when making a creation. My children are not new builders. I take the time to play with my children and teach them patience and strategy when…

Playmags vs The Other Brands

This is our fourth set of magnetic tiles. The first two we bought were branded MagnaTiles (a used set of about forty pieces with no rivets and a new set of about thirty pieces with rivets). When I found out there were other brands we bought a 100 piece Picasso tile set (studless). Since our four-year-old son literally plays with it all day, from waking up to bedtime (for about a year and a half), we ended up buying another set - this time from the Playmags brand (There are rivets [including…
