Works great on Nintendo Switch in handheld mode. First off, the Switch has poor Wi-Fi, and some of the rooms I often play in have poor Wi-Fi signal. This adapter allows me to connect an ethernet cable to my switch in portable mode and play online. Testing the internet connection via the switch settings menu showed the expected speed with a wired connection.

I just received and plugged in the adapter about five minutes ago after spending a few minutes reading the instructions and visiting their website. Luckily, I'm using a Windows 10 computer, so I didn't have to download any drivers. I just ran a speed test and found that I doubled my download speed from 100 megabits to 200 megabits per second! I was very surprised! This has to be one of my best buys of the year!

Adapter worked fine. However, it took me a while to figure out how to make it work. You need to install a driver and I don't know if it's all computers or just my Mac. After downloading it, I had trouble opening the file. The driver did not install and open as smoothly as most drivers/programs. But it works. I checked the connection, I'm using a 50ft ethernet cable: 46Mb via wifi and 50Mb via adapter (my max is 50).

I bought this specifically for my switch in tablet/portable mode and it works great. I found this out because I have easier access to ethernet connections than wireless. I downloaded Bayonetta (8.5GB download) in just 27 minutes. I've played Splatoon 2 online matches with it and it works great there. In about 30 minutes of online play, the battery went from 100% to 83% just to get an idea. Of course you can't charge the system with it, but other than that it's amazing. I'm VERY happy with mine…

I just got this in the mail and hooked it up to my Google Home Max for a solid wired connection rather than relying on Wi-Fi. It worked right away. To make sure it worked, I first disabled it, then went into the Google Home app on my Android phone and made Home Max forget my Wi-Fi network. Then I reconnected the plug-in adapter and it started working again straight away. Plugged into an ethernet switch, plugged into my Pixel 3 XL, the WiFi icon on my phone went out and was replaced with an ethernet icon <-->. The phone worked perfectly. This would only be a problem if you want to connect to WiFi and Ethernet at the same time. But great for my purposes! The speed test showed (as expected) a significant increase over WLAN.
