This is an amazing scanner

This is an honest scanner. This scanner scans very well and the documents look great. The program is easy to use, I save scans as separate documents or I can save them in a batch. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a scanner.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Light and compact - beautiful!

My desktop looks so much better with this scanner! It is easy to use and you don't need to name all the files etc before scanning as you can name them after scanning. Good deal for $$

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

small and good scanner but software can be improved

I will give 4.5 stars if the system can choose This is my second Plustek scanner. This scanner is smaller than before purchase. I just need to scan to pdf and a plastic card so this one is better and the scanner is very small. so I can put it in a drawer. The reason I'm deducting 0.5 stars is because the software's interface looks like it was 10 years ago. And unlike any other scanner I buy. I'm asking Plustek tech support if they can help, but they can't.

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Hot mess - don't buy

This scanner is a shitty mess. Just getting the drivers onto my system was a disaster, all my McAfee alerts went off trying to block driver installation because spyware was attached to the scanner driver and they wanted you to pay an extra $60 for updated drivers. Skip this one and buy a better known brand, returns are on the way.

Pros
  • As long as everyone likes it
Cons
  • Not bad

Apparently it doesn't work with Linux?

Sorry I can't use this thing. So I can't comment on how it works, how easy it is to use, etc. It certainly looks well made. It's very easy. Mobility depends on whether you have an extension cord. This requires a wall socket or an inverter. The online documentation suggests it should work with Ubuntu 18, which should mean it will work with Ubuntu 20, but. None of my machines can talk to him. Don't buy if you only use Linux. I'm not going to install Windows just to scan some documents.

Pros
  • Scanner
Cons
  • No power

Great scanner for the price

I didn't know what to expect from this scanner. I was positively surprised. The instructions aren't great, but it fits and works and is pretty easy to use. At first I played around with scanning and became a pro in a short time. I give 5 points for the price. The scan quality isn't the best, but it's good enough for what I do. I gave it 4 stars for "easy to use" just because I had to figure out a few things before using it, but once I did it was very easy to use. I also like the small size.

Good entry-level scanner

Pros: You can scan to JPG without using any software other than the one on your computer (Windows Paint in my case - couldn't get it to use LibreOffice or any other application) Cons : File/type mapping worked for me - scanning searchable PDFs is a must. Matching files and apps on this updated Win10 laptop I tested on proved extremely difficult. The device is pretty nifty, so be careful when moving the sliders to change the page size. Considering the price I wasn't expecting much. The software…

  • Document scanner
Cons
  • Corrupt
