Defect. Not the brand I recommend. Many of their products require full testing upon receipt. I listen to music in the car and these little sticks are the best, if any. One is country music, the other is rock, greatest hits, oldies, Christmas, etc. I have about 5,000 songs on one and it's only half full. I really don't want to tether my phone to music in the car.
