Very Accurately Save Money

I have a $1000 radar but I have to put it in my pocket and carry it around. The blue ball trainer is very accurate. The only downside is the short battery life. I went to UTUBE, they offered rechargeable batteries and they work fine. I didn't buy the one with all the accessories because I have them all. But I recommend them. I use the Krugradar 10-15 times a month. This coaching radar is excellent

very accurate in team sports

Purchased after suspecting my Bushnell pistol was not working. Many improvements! Bushnell is accurate when you're very close -- within about 20 feet -- otherwise he picks up the ball too late to give an accurate reading and gives a lot of false readings. Constantly lagged behind at 7-10 km / h. The ball trainer has a good range, is easy to use and accurate. I wish I had bought it sooner. It's expensive, but a personally inaccurate gun is useless. What's the point of measuring ball speed with…

Inaccurate on fitness equipment

Both son (college) and daughter (8th grade) present. Their trainers often test both, so I was able to compare these weapons to the weapons their trainers are using. My daughter is throwing up in her mid 50's and this unit reads a steady 5 mph slow. It got worse at high speeds. My son had hours over 80 and this unit never read over 70 mph. I was right behind the trap as stated in the instruction manual. I will try to exchange the device, which I have to do directly through pocketradar.com. I…

That does not work! for sports

I bought this radar for my son in the winter to use during the spring baseball season. The device was stored in my room and remained closed until last week. When we first tried the Coach Pocket Radar it was fine. The testimony seemed reasonable and consistent. The second time was good too. My son served with his trainer at about 82 mph. The radar trainer went out this week and my son's speed was very low, around 70's. I changed the batteries several times and no improvement. The speed numbers…

tennis anyone? in baseball

My Gamma SpeedTrac X radar recently stopped working, so I bought a pocket radar to use as a backup for measuring the relative speed of my (and friends) tennis courts. The best way I've found to measure feedrate is to mount it on a tripod just behind the reticle. Yes, you need to set it to "permanently on" and then use the recall button to scroll through the memory after dropping. It's a bit cumbersome compared to the Gamma SpeedTrac, which displays speed with a large red LED, but I often found…

Robust device, gives coaches a complete picture

So many people watch kids throw the ball and love to tell you how fast they throw the ball. This guy is in his mid 60's! You need this device. Most people get their estimates wrong by 5-10 mph. I bought this for 2 reasons. Firstly so we can assess where my pitchers are and then help them see how small changes can make a big difference. Second, so our attackers can start getting the numbers to what they saw. We could tell them "this guy does 55" and they'd know how to time it, or if the kid…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The list will go on.
