I found this a big disappointment. The clips are not well made. They fell apart on first use. The wires connecting the terminals to the base don't fit well in their holes. I had to glue them on with super glue. The aluminum hollow rods do not fit perfectly and do not snap into the holding position. This causes the object being held to fall forward onto the floor. The magnetic base is well made. That's the only positive. I will definitely buy another holder, more expensive and better quality.

For airbrushing a model railway; This is a brilliant solution for quickly and firmly grabbing small parts and accurately positioning those parts in my spray booth. I like that the stems can be easily removed from the base. This flexibility of use allows me to hold the part in my hand (for hard-to-reach places) and/or leave it on a stand to spray and dry.
