Simple and Accurate pH Meter

I would say 4 1/2 stars, rounded up to five. After experimenting a bit, I decided to test the calibration with the pH 6.86 bag that came with the instrument. I pressed the calibration button. I then bought two bottles of pH calibrated solution at 4:00 am and 7:00 am. The readings I got from the meter were erroneous, 4.3 and 6.7 respectively. I figured I messed up the calibration by not using distilled water, assuming the buffer pack would take care of everything. So I recalibrated as follows: -

Mine lasted a month: questionable durability

My Poit pH meter worked exactly one month. Coincidentally, it stopped working immediately after closing the return window. These are good counters for the price, simply because it doesn't seem like there are many better alternatives at a reasonable price. There's an Apera brand for <$40 that claims to be better, but I haven't tried it yet. It looks like the same technology (just made better) so I was hesitant to spend 3x more if they don't last long. The best seem to cost well over $100…

And this pH meter is factory calibrated. And if the product has problems, users can perform calibration to solve the problem.

I can't verify if that's true.

Sometimes faulty. I put it in tap water after calibrating with powders and it was 7.9 at first. Well, within expectations. But then it would jump to 6.9, 6.6, 7.2 with the same tap water. I'm pretty sure my tap water (tap water; filtered groundwater from California's Crazy River, Eureka) doesn't fluctuate greatly. . Certain rules apply to acidified foods. And I'm getting some mixed results with it. Total pH +/- 2.0. And I can understand some fluctuations with the food, but not that drastic. The
