Description of PolyLite Printer Filament by Polymaker - Optimal Printing Solution

⛅ 【Weather Resistant】 - PolyLite ASA UV filament has all the properties of 3D filament ABS with the additional features of being weather resistant. Our ASA is UV resistance and resistant to environmental stress cracking. PolyLite ASA can be used outdoor for outside application such as gardening tools or car accessories. 🌡️ 【High Heat Resistance and Mechanical Properties】 - PolyLite ASA can resist temperatures up to 100 ̊C (212°F) and display high toughness and impact resistance for functional application. ( Same properties as 3D printer filament ABS ). 🔮 【Matte finish】 - PolyLite ASA Black is a 3D filament ASA with a very special matte finish which makes the final print look very smooth and high quality. (Matter surface than regular 3D ABS Black Filament ) - Note: turn off the fan for better mechanical properties, turn it on at 30% for higher print quality. Selected color: Black ASA filament 1.75mm ( similar to Black ABS filament 1.75mm ). ⚙️ 【Printing Settings】 - Nozzle: 250 ̊C; Bed: 90 ̊C; Speed: 50mm/s (Settings can be adjusted depending on the 3D printer, you can refer to the 3d printer abs 1.75mm filament settings) To print large parts without warping issue, we recommend using an enclosed printer to maintain a warm enviroment around the print. Using BuildTak or Magigoo can help with the bed adhesion. ⚠️ 【Important Note】 - Please make sure to double check the diameter of your order as it may automatically change when selecting a color. Selected diameter: Black ASA filament 1.75 ( similar to Black ABS filament 1.75 ). 🛡️ 【Risk Free & Lifetime Technical Support】 - We offer a full refund if the product is not performing as expected. Polymaker ASA filament is designed for outdoor functional application. Let us help you get your perfect beatiful prints and contact us via Amazon anytime you need.

Difficult to use due to warping

This material is highly malleable. Even with the printer completely closed, a PEI layer heated to 100°C and a nozzle at 250°C, the deformation is so severe that the part detaches from the table after several layers. Small parts may be fine, but large areas will inevitably detach from the print bed during printing. I couldn't find any combination of bed temp/jet/fan speed etc to avoid the part detaching from the bed. Also tried to modulate the values with a layer (e.g. hot on the first layer…

I can't believe I've never heard of this stuff

This filament is amazing. I've done so much with PLA, especially Sunlu's PLA+, and it's good, but since I'm making things that I want to survive outside on a summer's day and in the heat of a car, I need something better. The PLA+ warped outside or inside my car. I haven't had any luck trying PETG on my Ender 5 Plus and was too scared to try anything new because it can be so painful when a jet is clogged. I stumbled across this footage from an online video showing them using it in a car's…

Pros

Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

This filament seems to work well once you find the right settings. The supplied manual lists the following recommended printing temperatures: nozzle 240-260°C, layer 75-95. CI had some table sticking issues even with 90°C table and 250°C nozzle. Instead, I just went with the Prusament ASA profile. in a Prusa slicer running a bit hot (nozzle 260 C, layer 105 C first layer, 110 C other layers) and it works great. I use textured PEI sheet with no glue. The prints are glued securely and after…
