Trudeau Pop-up Lid Salt or Pepper Shaker - 1 Shaker (Color May Vary) Review

This product exceeded all expectations. We bought it for our dining table on our screened in porch. Moisture causing agglomeration has been a problem for many years, even with "when it rains, pour it" salt. We went from cleaning the salt shaker every week or so to several months without agglomeration.

Once you learn not to spray the powdered substance that you are, NOT on the table and NOT in the food, you'll love these little dispensers. They seal very well to keep moisture out and are easily manipulated into open and closed positions. My dishwasher didn't mess up the very first one I ordered so it could be washed. I will be buying more of these as gifts for myself. I wish the tops were in more colors.

I need a salt shaker to use on my tray/table (like a hospital table but swivels on a base plate) . ) that will not splatter all over my body if (not if) I tip over and/or get knocked down. The design looked good, but I didn't get a chance to try it out. It smelled like perfume* so I wanted to wash it to try and get rid of the smell. This is such a cute and easy salt shaker idea! Or so I thought. This unassuming little salt shaker is quite a messy salt applicator. It's fun and easy to open and close the lid, which is handy for storing salt on the counter, but once you salt your food, the salt flies! This is much more suitable for salting dishes during cooking than at the table for salting dinner. unless you like taking the salt off the table!

I have a pair of these shakers because my cats like to knock over anything that can roll and my last salt and pepper didn't have a lid or locking mechanism which resulted in me banging it in a few times in the morning to remove salt or pepper from the kitchen floor.
