Powerful and Convenient: PORTER-CABLE Drywall Sander Pad, 150 Grit, 5-Pack (77155) Review

I bought these pads for my Porter-Cable drywall sander. I wanted to be able to use a finer grade of sandpaper when finishing up the drywall work I needed to do. The discs worked great and I have no complaints about their installation on the grinder or their performance when sharpened.

I tried the cheaper version and the sandpaper fell out of the backing pad. The Porter-Cable brand lasts as long as sandpaper. Don't be like me and try to save a buck or two by trying a cheaper brand and end up paying more. From now on I won't buy anything except Porter-Cable seals.

These sanding discs fit the Porter Corded Drywall Sander and do a great job. They are nothing less and nothing more and allow the dust cover to absorb over 95% of the dust when using the right vacuum cleaner. My client didn't know I sanded her kitchen ceiling smooth. She has dark granite countertops and she told me she'd like to have them rounded before I sand down her ceiling. Imagine her surprise when I told her the job was done.

They're a bit pricey, but every pad counts. I think if you're going to spend $800-$1000 on a mechanical vacuum mounted sander, why save on sanding pads? This is how you sand walls and ceilings easily and almost dust-free. What a blessing after years of swallowing miles of drywall dust, not to mention bright eyes and angry customers.
