Great Finish Nailer

Like all my other Porter-Cable tools, this one is a real gem. I have a framer, a nailer and a crown stapler. You have all served me well. Hitachi DA nails are easier to find in the shop where I live and work. I particularly like the hanging clip that hangs the tool and hammer on the tool belt. Easy to load and change nails. Haven't tried the rapid fire trigger - I don't see how to use it for finishing work and carpentry.

Pros
  • Disc 15 ga. DA-style corner nails, 1" to 2-1/2" long; Tool-less clamp release mechanism for easy nail removal
Cons
  • Damaged

Excellent nail gun for power and hand tools

I have always used Paslode guns on repairs, but recently saw the need to use air guns. I researched several websites and even interviewed other contractors before deciding on Porter Cable. This is the fifth porter cable I've added to my collection. I bought this because it's an angled gun and it can get in places others can't. They are all lightweight, maintenance-free, oil-free, easy to load and easy to dismantle thanks to their magnesium housing. They have a gun for everything from 2 1/2 inch

Pros
  • Tool-free depth adjustment with detents for proper nail head placement
Cons
  • Some errors

Made differently than before

The gun is similar to the one I had (and enjoyed using) but that's where the similarities end. nails. A project that should have taken me a full day is now in its third day due to the poor performance of this weapon. If I wanted to use it as a paperweight it might be useful, but as a nail gun for any size project it's useless. to other nails. There is a big problem when the nails that a manufacturer sends with their product don't actually work with their product. I would not recommend this nail

  • rims 15ga. DA-style corner nails, 1" to 2-1/2" long; Tool-less release mechanism for easy nail removal
