Works as hoped. Ideal! Used to connect a 3rd gen Apple TV to a 15 year old 23" Sony Trinitron TV that was moved to my Man Cave because that TV cannot work with Tivo. I have used this converter to connect several vintage gaming systems, either direct or via two RCA switches in series. I will describe my results. Switchers work great with it, there is no obvious difference with or without it. The Sega Genesis is very impressive. Some fuzziness is to be expected. As at least one other reviewer has noted, this thing is tiny. It can easily fit in the palm of your hand. If you can't make out it from the pictures, the device is powered from a wall outlet terminating in a mini-USB adapter; That means any generic mini USB cable should work with it. It draws so little power that a laptop's USB port can handle it. It gets a little warm, but I wouldn't call it hot once it's plugged in for a while.
