Sweet little mash: Mashed Potatoes

I bought this to mash an avocado for guacamole and it's great. It washes well and seems strong enough for potatoes (although I haven't used it for that).

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So far so good

Great little masher

Perfect size for pureeing for two. I wouldn't use this for Thanksgiving dinner! I have mashed potatoes, beans and avocados. It's pretty easy to clean too!

  • Practical item
Cons

Perfect size for my RV

Love this potato peeler, it's just the right size for my utensil pot in my RV. It's really well made and both me and my husband have used it and it doesn't bend. It is strong, rigid, compact and very easy to clean. Love it!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Negative impression

He Makes His Own Puree: Mashed Potatoes & Ricer

Works better than it looks. The straightforwardness of the design makes it difficult to start mashing. And if, like me, you thought at first that the silly design certainly wouldn't support just one hand, then you're right! It needs to be bent back after each use and we'll see how long it lasts.

Pros
  • Well Built
Cons
  • No

Great kitchen tool.

I was interested in offset design but wasn't sure if it would be easy to handle. It proves to be well balanced and easy to use with a really comfortable grip. Has a short work of mashing and crushing. I love it and use it more than I originally thought. I love the size as it fits in smaller bowls and takes up less drawer space. efficiency in everything.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some nuance

Great for guac! Best in Potato Masher

This potato masher works well as long as you use force when trying not to over-mash avocados and potatoes. Because it only has a one-sided grip, it doesn't have the strength to endure much force. Not for the Hulk. However, the advantage of a one-sided grip is that you can slice the avocado before mashing it. It also goes well with mashed potatoes.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Not strong enough for boiled potatoes.

We like to make 'mashed potatoes' where you first boil the potatoes, break them into a flat shape and then finish them in the oven or toaster, drizzle over olive oil and crunchy spices. The metal of this chopper is too thin to withstand chopping up undercooked potatoes. I returned it and bought an old school one that doesn't easily fit into a drawer! :)

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

BEST Mini Crusher

I tried another mini crusher first, which wasn't very small and had a bulky array of plastic blades that contained a lot of precious avocado. and required the laborious removal of what was left between the blades. It was so painful to use that I went back to the fork as a crusher. Then I tried this one and VOILA! PERFECTION! It's really delicate and almost nothing sticks to it, just quickly run your finger along each side and everything is in the bowl where it should be. And it can be a small…

  • I don't really like it, everything is fine
