They squeak!: Brake Pads

Wanted to try a different material for towing my RV. Well, it was a bust. They seem to stop well. However, they squeak and it drives me crazy

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Poor

Excellent stopping power

Excellent brake pads, a little tight to put the pads back on with new clips but maybe with patience. Excellent braking power, clear difference with old pads (different brand)

Pros
  • Manufactured by
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Wrong size brake pads

Bought these brake pads to take on a trip, went to have the front pads replaced, wrong side, had to buy new ones, this makes it not worth the money, if you don't know what the right size is

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No insurance

Wrong axis Revain description says the front is for the rear

1 star for Revain, wrong description for front brake but part is actually for rear brake! It's very frustrating when the car is on Jack, the brakes are off and I can't finish the job. Thanks Revain for the quick return, reordered from Summit Racing, received part in less than 24 hours! You can't trust 2 days with Prime. Support other parts retailers and start censoring Revain. Time to wake up America!

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Hard to say

First ceramic pads and I love them!

This is my first set of ceramic brake pads and so far so good. Not sure about other brands and categories but it takes a little getting used to. Stopping at low speeds feels a bit spongy BUT if you make the mistake of pushing too fast and hard you'll be pleasantly surprised as the bite progresses. not like normal pads where you press at high speed and just stop like that. They stop harder the harder you press and they don't go away.

Pros
  • Cross your fingers
Cons
  • Weight

The PowerStop Extreme ceramic rear brake pads for my 2008 Tahoe LTZ 5.3L FLEX Fuel are the best on the market. Shown above are the Original Equipment PowerStop Extreme ceramic rear brake pads after 45,000 miles. Shown below are the new PowerStop Extreme ceramic rear brake pads. The new ones showed that the pads were very thick. I bought original PowerStop Extreme ceramic rear brake pads and installed them in June 2017. Then I drove my 2008 Tahoe LTZ from Chicago, IL to Los Angeles, CA and Sanโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Follow the recommended break-in procedure for other Power Stop pads.

Decided to give it a try after my wife went through a set of rear brake pads (not cheap either) that she bought at an auto parts store when she was 18 months old. Follow the break-in procedure recommended for other Power Stop pads (aggressive stops to heat the pads and then continuously cool them down). There was no break-in procedure inside or printed on the box like other power stop pads have. Hoping they will put up with their aggressive braking habits longer. After 2 weeks of use they areโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power
