Nice design, there may be quality control issues.

Bought in January, the left joycon charger seemed spirited but I found it stopped charging. At first I thought it was a possible problem with the LED, but after a few more months I confirmed that it wasn't charging. I assume many of these will work, but I'm currently looking for an alternative to replace them.

Pros
  • Holding my fists
Cons
  • Clarity

The left Joy-Con slot has stopped charging.

After five months of owning this docking station, I had a similar issue as described in other reviews: the left joystick port is flashing red and will no longer charge this controller. I tested the controller by charging it through the Switch itself and it worked fine. It's a nice looking product, but it doesn't seem to control the quality well.

Pros
  • Perfect for a small house
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Rumbled when lifted. Lose weight internally!

The first block was broken. The weight was released inside. (See image) All electrical components worked, but free weight broke the connection from time to time. The weight is held by 4 plastic posts and they have been sheared off. I had to take it apart and glue it with super glue to make it work. After it was glued together it worked great.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Don't plug it into the switch or your right Joy-Con will stop working

This is a pretty good charger, I really like it, but it has a pretty serious flaw; If you plug it into the Switch's base via USB, your Switch will think the correct Joy-Con is connected. As a result, you cannot connect your joysticks to the Switch and use it offline. It took me a while to figure it out, but now I've plugged it into the USB socket and magically my right Joy-Con is working again. Other than that it's a great charger, love the way it looks and you can use it to charge your…

  • Brilliantly made

  • Not reliable

but it's not that bad. LED indicators show the charging status.

Works well, solid construction. I have a model that is suitable for Joy-Cons and Pro controllers at the same time. This requires you to stick a small key into your pro controller, but you can leave it on while you play - it's a little annoying, but not too bad. LED indicators that independently show the charging status of each controller. The base features a simple cable management system that plugs directly into an available USB port on the switch. The USB cable is of poor quality and…

Worked. slightly better in batteries and chargers

I've been using it for a few months and have always noticed a rattling noise when moving it but didn't pay much attention to it. I used to connect it to a third-party USB power adapter until I decided to move it to the Switch dock to reduce the plug count. Almost immediately, I noticed that it wouldn't charge for more than a few minutes before turning off (all lights off) and then back on (all lights on, then connected device on). Recently I decided to open it. and see what's rattling. It…

Arrived broken. Exchanged immediately. Works great

There are joycons that needed a solution and then I also bought a professional controller so I went with this one. First, I received a defective charger. As I unpacked it, I noticed a few small pieces of plastic floating around. Then, when I picked it up, I could feel/hear the movement of all its internal parts. I assumed it was broken but I checked anyway and sure enough, the joycons weren't charging. I received Amazon two minutes later and asked for a replacement. They shipped it straight…

Pros
  • Only positives
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

That's exactly what I was hoping for, minus the holographic card in the booster. He holds the controllers very well. The state of charge is what you hope for. The problem is that the extra part (yes, I'll explain) needed to charge the Switch Pro controller, while not really a hindrance, has no place to live when not in use. I feel it can be lost very easily, making it impossible to charge the professional controller. Why not just let it go? After all, it's pretty small. For the same reason, I…

Broke straight out of the box

I have used PowerA products in the past including the Dualshock 4 charger which I use every day and love. However, the build quality of this particular product is unacceptable, especially for an officially sealed Nintendo product. I received the product and even before opening it I heard something heavy and plastic rattling inside the box, not a good sign but I pushed forward, I opened it and through the bottom you can see how the board and a big one pieces of metal are touched. inside and the…
