Weak, used for minimal work

Bought to squeeze a couple of OME 885s. They twisted and bent quickly. I'm sure they would work if you were interested in OEM coils for economy cars. But don't try it on anything else!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Has cons

These are the only compressors that .

These are the only compressors that can be removed from Delorean springs. All other styles just don't work, at least for me. These do their job!

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Functionality

Excellent quality, price and safety. All winners.

I used this product for the first time yesterday and was very pleased with its performance. I have a small note that may help the manufacturer and other users. The instructions say to use a 1 inch head with an air drill. So I bought a 1" head and it doesn't fit. 1/16" too small. So maybe the right size head should be in the package. With an adjustable wrench I can assure you the spring tension booster is very important .

I love these things for the affordable way to remove the feathers.

Love these items for an affordable way to remove struts at home. I bought this set because it has U-bolts that go around the spring making it impossible to slip off as opposed to the ones that just curve and go through the spring. It takes a little longer but is a lot safer as it can prevent a very bad day which I think is worth it. The only thing I would change is to make the bolt and nut the same size on the jackbolt, but it doesn't make much of a difference.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Exactly the right thing -Akura Integra 1990 strut springs

This is a compressor tool for compressing a light coil spring with a shock absorber inside. No other tool I've tried allows for a tight gap between the spring and damper. With the entire assembly removed from the vehicle and the lower fork firmly clamped in a vise, this tool easily and securely compresses the coil allowing the shock absorber to be removed and replaced. Do not be fooled; this is not for roller carts! LAUGH OUT LOUD. But it works like a champ on these little rice burners. I betโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Crumpled

Ok, but the only one that really works on my Honda

Since there is practically no gap between the spring and the shock absorber, this was really the only compressor that worked without a scratch shock on the body, hardly. It will still scratch if you don't tighten them evenly. I've found that lubricating the threaded rod reduces the chance of the sliders getting stuck, as the instructions say. In addition, as described in the instructions, the sliders can be opened by tapping lightly with a hammer without binding. Nut and rod end are far from 1โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Basically everything is fine, but...
