Efficient Stud Removal Tool

This tool really saved my automotive project! Through trial and error, I found that the Powerbuilt stud extractor was the most efficient way to remove stripped or seized studs. It's easy to use and the grip handles provide a comfortable hold. The only con I experienced was some difficulty extracting larger sized studs, but overall it's a great addition to any mechanic's toolbox.

Pros
  • Easy to use and effective for removing severely stripped or damaged studs.
Cons
  • Requires a wrench or socket to turn, which may limit its accessibility in tight spaces.

Bind for use. for socket wrench

This is a well designed and thought out tool. I would even recommend it to casual mechanics who find they have a broken bolt shank.

Pros
  • Socket wrench
Cons
  • Available in black only

Broken water pump bolt removed in minutes

Water pump bolt rusted in water jacket. Upon removal, the corrosion lodged in the bolt's threads, causing the bolt to seize and break. Soak both sides of the bolt in PB Blaster for about 3 days while you wait for the tool to arrive. Place the tool on the exposed screw, rotate 1/2 inch until snug, then slowly remove the screw. It's a lot easier than drilling and EZ Out!. I highly recommend trying this tool before going down the "bolt drilling" route. Very happy with the purchase. I would…

  • Wrench
