POWERTEC 71014 Non-Slip Router Pad, 24x48 inches, Black Review

This rubber mat works like a charm. I use it for marking signs and edges and it works great. My boards don't move. I thought it would be a hassle to clean but I just use the little attachment on my vacuum and it lets the fine shavings through. A fairly simple material that can be rolled up and put away when I'm not using it. Excellent material!

This rug is similar to the fabric shelf liners you can buy at any hardware store but is better in every way. It's thicker so it fills better. It's larger in area and not just one long strip. And it has even more grip. You'll need to dust it regularly if you want the grip to stay strong. But it works as advertised: I was able to cut bevels without clamping the workpiece. And I polished it for an hour and the workpiece didn't move.

I've used several of these over the years as anti-vibration and non-slip 3D printer shelves. I love the material. But it takes a month or more to get rid of the smell and this time it was quite intense (I get a lot of headaches from being in the same room too long). Basic mat but works well enough for sanding or milling woodwork. It's nice not having to use clamps, especially when trying to route the perimeter of a frame etc in one pass. This doesn't work so well when trying to work on smaller parts (like handrails/handrails) as they don't have enough surface area for the mat to actually hold them in place. The material used for this strikes me as attractive compared to what is typically sold as non slip rug pads or non slip shelf pads with the exception of the wood finish finish and this one rug being black.
