A few days ago it was just over $15, but now it's over $27? This is an amazing filler and I buy it regularly from Amazon but there is something wrong with the price. I looked elsewhere and the $27 price tag is over the top. Go to Petco and buy it for under $20, others are offering it for around $15 or less + shipping. I prefer the comfort, weight and sustainability of pebble litter and of the brands I've tried my (not older) indoor cat prefers the fine sandy texture of this litter. Preferably. With him she would at least try to bury her shit; with coarser throws it will not. Since it smells noticeably less, the decision was easy for me. Attached is a photo comparing this filler to Just the Crystals Premium Crystal Filler - also a good choice but not for me. An 8 pound bag will usually last about three weeks.

I have mixed feelings about this litter. On the one hand I love it, but the lack of suffocating dust means I'll never use it again. One of my cats has chronic irritable bowel syndrome and very dirty poop. I got this for the drying aspect. It works in that regard, dirty poop is dry, easier to clean, and doesn't smell.
