This is a great tool bit

This is a great tool bit. I used for grinding off 3 steel wheel studs and lug nuts on two Jeep wheels where the lug nuts were rusted solidly in place. The bit also allowed me to easily mark the center of the wheels studs so that I could drill much of the stud away before finishing cutting through the stud and the lug nut. I was able to remove the frozen studs and lug nuts without wrecking the alloy wheels. The alternative would have been to use a cutting torch, ruining the wheels. It cuts well,

Pros
  • Great 3D cutting bit. Also works great for VCarve work.
Cons
  • The bit may not work well on softer woods or metals

Good as name brands.

I really like these bits. I use them on my Carvewright system and they last just as long if not longer then the $46 for each bit you get from Carvewright directly. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Use the tapered tool in a CNC machine carving reliefs and it produces great detail.
Cons
  • The bit can dull quickly if not used properly

Clean, fine cuts.: my feedback

As advertised. Used on a shapeoko (probably misspelled that) to engrave on aluminum. Hardest part was getting the correct feed rates so that the bit isn’t over stressed. Have had a few snap but i can’t tell if it’s user error (feed rates/extended use) or quality. Leading more towards the user error hence the 4 star rating.

Pros
  • Really quite good. Did a nice job on some oak. 80in/min is no problem.
Cons
  • The bit can produce a loud or unpleasant sound when in use

Its just now starting to show signs of getting dull after 17 2-4 hour carves. The photo attached was actually for THE Leonardo DiCaprio himself. He doesn't know it but he loved this bit too. lol If only I could get a testimonial from him.

Pros
  • Strong sharp perfect
Cons
  • The tool requires constant cleaning and maintenance

Good bit for carving with a CNC machine.

This is a great bit for carving on my CNC machine. With the settings right when doing the layout, barely any sanding was required to carve these Christmas ornaments I made. I cut 60 of them, and the bit still seemed to work as well on the last one as it did on the first. This was surprising because these were cut from Mahogany and required a total about 20 hours of cutting. If you look closely at the picture, this bit was capable of adding the detail of the scarf on the snowman, which is…

Pros
  • These worked great. Cut really good
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for those with physical limitations in their hands or arms
