Smaller than I thought

I should have looked at the size of this thing. I figured I could get a whole head of lettuce or cabbage. Otherwise my chickens love it.

Pros
  • speakerphone
Cons
  • frequency

Very small, the photo is deceptive.

The picture was extremely misleading. I do this with the intention of putting in cabbage or lettuce. He can hold an apple. He is very small. Very disappointed for $8

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

The chickens seemed to enjoy it.

The size is ok. Big enough for a big apple. Which I usually put in there. The problem I have is that the clasp wears out and comes off while the girls are banging on it. Now I have to come up with something to keep it closed. Also, the chickens seemed to like it.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • I will write later

I want to give this review zero stars. It says it can hold a whole head of cabbage for your chickens. It's the size of an orange. I don't know what country the cabbage is grown in, but definitely not in the US and definitely not in Texas. Don't waste money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Not sure what I was thinking

I was originally looking to purchase this product as I thought it would fit a whole cabbage. Man, was I wrong. This ball is only for waste. I have 8 chicks that ate their scraps of food into this bowl for 5 minutes, so feeding them scraps of food isn't a very effective way. Instead I just drilled a hole in the cabbage and threaded the rope through the cabbage. My chickens need at least a day.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • A few small things

Excellent purchase! in toys

I love giving my chicks treats, but I hate seeing fruit rolling in the mud when they fight over it. I know they're scratching and eating dirt all the time. All round a great purchase. We like to hang it up in different places and see how they find it, or leave extra treats in case we're gone for a few days. The girls love it and they fight for what's there. I've had it for a few months now and so far it has stayed in perfect condition even with daily use.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Perfect size for a treat for 2 chickens! but didn't last 4 months!

Two of our chickens, Barbara Ann and Rhonda, LOVE this bowl which I fill with the wheatgrass I grow for them, the mealworms hidden in it and other leaves of our garden vegetables (lettuce, spinach, pak -Choi etc.) ). Unfortunately it only has a "clasp" on one side and another wire clip on the other side. The wire hanger broke, which I temporarily fixed with pliers as best I could until ordering another. Had it had 3 or 4 "clasps" like a larger cabbage from another company, it would have lasted…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
