It fit and worked on a 2006 Suabru Tribeca

Looks like a good unit. Hooked it up, it worked, let's see if it holds up. The output quality seems good and the device is being investigated.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not automatic

Works perfectly. on starters

Has been in the car for just over a month and has been working great so far. My only complaint is that some of the nuts and bolts were subpar and replaced with the ones my OEM starter had.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive

Works perfectly. Edit: not much

Works pretty well. Came with an extra washer that got in the way for about 15 seconds. Contrary to some suspicious comments about the "sporty" sound of this starter, it sounds like any vintage starter. Nothing special. Edit: It's been a little over a year. It fails. How to explain a guarantee is completely incomprehensible. More details will be updated at a later date. Edit 2: Dead at last. Maybe better than the original.

Fits perfectly, has a sporty starting sound and runs great. About a month has passed and there have been no problems in the rain, snow, cold, or hot weather. Here in Louisiana we get everything. I am very happy with this purchase, it was the cheapest option I could find anywhere. I probably won't have any more problems in the life of my 180,000+ mile car, but if the starter fails I promise I'll update this to reflect that fact. I took my old starter off and installed this, start to finish, inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Useless features

Thought I saved money. No!

First year of vacation I am a 30-year-old master mechanic. I was hoping to save some money on my daughter's Subaru Tribeca 06 by purchasing this starter. It's possible that it will cost me a lot more! Your Subaru is now mounted on ramps. because I have to partially pull the motor out. because the nose cone on this starter broke for no reason. a piece of the starter nose cone has broken off! It fell into the bell housing behind the torque converter and flywheel. The only way to figure it out isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Almost everything ok
