did what i expected them to do

only had them installed for about 2 months but so far so good. No installation problems, and the force of the dampers is very strong.

Affordable enough to buy 2 even if you need one

Fits exactly like OEM, presumably both new? One broke after 2 days. Once installed, you can tap the hood lightly and it will just fall off, so watch your hands. The price was cheap enough not to complain.

I didn't realize my hood "automatically " opened until I installed the new brackets.

Very good product and packaging. I am giving this product five stars in all categories as I just received it and installed it today so I cannot confirm durability. However, I am confident that these hood supports will stand the test of time.

Easy to install, short lifespan

They were incredibly easy to install. This is coming from a guy who has never changed a single part on his car. But as you can see now from the date of my post-purchase review in December 2017, it sucks. I popped the hood up to help a buddy jump on his car and the freaking hood won't stand on its own anymore. Great if you need a quick fix, but my OEMs lasted from October 2007 to December 2017. 10 years compared to ONE of these. Purchase at your own risk.

Bonnet stays for 2012 Lexus IS F!

I was skeptical about how cheap it was compared to $140 plus for OEM but decided to give it a try. I've never done this swap before, but it took 5 minutes, I would say it was easier than changing the wiper blades ;) Anyway, after putting these new ones on, my hood was finally open! :) and when I put pressure to close it is very strong and if I don't close it fully the hood stays open my hood again :) I am very happy with this product. Excellent purchase.
