I use this as a food mat for my dog that's raw fed. I really like that it's silicone and doesn't slide on my wood floors. The ridges keep his food, typically frozen chunks of meat from sliding around, so my dog is a fan! I just got this recently so i can't comment on durability yet.

I have 2 kittens and they would always play with the water dish. Either hitting it or dragging it around, I was constantly drying up the floor. They would do the same with their cat food. This mat does not slide around so they cannot do this. Everything falls onto the mat for easy cleaning. If you don't want your cats playing with their bowls and making a mess, get this product! 😊😊😊😊
