Direct replacement for OEM lifting legs. Installation was an easy task after watching YT's video of removing the old lift rods. The package was double wrapped and the lifting legs were well protected. Very happy with this purchase. Thank you and God bless!

I've had other liftgate uprights and they didn't last very long compared to the original dealers which have lasted over ten years of very heavy use. I didn't abuse them but they ran fine and smooth, they had instructions (which I didn't need as I had replaced them earlier but they would if I hadn't). They work great, I hope they last a lot longer than the last replacement!

Great replacement for Escalade. It takes about 15 minutes to shut down, you'll need someone to hold the back cover while you swap it out. Take a small screwdriver and pry out the clips on the back of the ball seat at the top and bottom of the old gas strut/jack. The lid is very heavy. Lifting the back cover makes it easier to remove the old ones. Also prepare some lubricant to put on the ball before replacing it with a new one. New ones are simply inserted with clips. Super good price for two of these and both take minutes to install - good fit but if someone presses hard on the tailgate it breaks. Right - definitely a 2 person job. And, boy, are they powerful - if you're under 90 pounds and small, don't hold on when it opens or you'll be airborne. Can be difficult to close after initial install but gets better with time.
