This wick worked fairly well for my candle in a 3 inch container

This wick worked well for my candle in a 3 inch container. I used a mixture of white beeswax and coconut oil and this type of wick worked quite well with this mixture. I think I'll try "3" in the future because I think "2" is a bit small for the diameter of the container I'm using.

I had never made a candle before and wasn't sure how thick to get. The wick is a pleasure to work with and burns normally leaving black cottony bits as it burns out. I bought size #2. The flame height I get is much higher than other candles I'm used to. And this melts the surface of the candle too far to the rim, sometimes causing a puddle of wax to spill over the rim. This is my fault for filling the wrong diameter candles to match the thickness of the wick I bought. . I'll be doing more with…

Wick Size Chart INACCURATE

I wisely believe that this company has never made pure beeswax candles. The reason is that their wick size chart is wrong! You will NOT be able to correctly burn a pure beeswax hand-poured candle if you select a wick from this chart that matches the diameter of your candle. Whatever the diagram tells you, you simply MUST go up about two levels to make a properly burning beeswax candle. If you instead use the wick size indicated in the chart, you will have a candle that does not burn brightly…
