Lots of wasted space and very flimsy

There was another review that summed this up perfectly but here are my 3 problems.1. The left latch door is almost impossible to close when the cabinet is full, and the right key lock is very weak so the doors won't stay closed.2. The design of the cabinet makes it impossible to use all the shelves properly, whether you fill it with Blu-Ray or DVD. Putting locks on doors forces you to place shelves so low that the space on the bottom shelf is too small to hold anything. You cannot use this…

Cheap junk works best for media storage

My issues with this are as follows: 1. 1 side has a cheap slide bolt that is almost impossible to close as the bolt hole is very small and difficult to find.2. 1 side has a cheap lock that if you really want to keep someone out of the closet, it's easy to open without a key because it just slides into a small groove on the top of the closet.3. The doors will not stay fully closed IF you do not lock the cabinet.4. The angle at which the doors open forces you to find a lot more space on the sides

Prepac DVD in TV & Media Furniture

Determined to take a chance despite negative reviews. In general I like it. It's durable and was easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and all the details were there. I only needed a helper to hang the doors which are quite heavy. Be sure to identify all parts before beginning assembly. Some of the earlier design flaws mentioned by other reviewers seem to have been fixed. Hook on the left door to keep it closed. However, access is not so easy when the device is filled with DVDs. Even…

Definitely worth it, but think about it

Here's my experience: First, imagine that thing is heavy! It comes in two packages. One weighs 70 pounds and the other weighs 36 pounds. The assembled tower (excluding shelves) weighs approximately 90 pounds. If you plan to assemble the tower in one place and move it to the final location, a moving truck will come in very handy. Second, I found the tower to be very easy to assemble. The instructions are clear and all the pre-drilled holes are perfectly aligned. Third, the included plastic lazy…

Poorly packaged for shipping. Many parts are damaged.

In the beginning more than half of the parts had some kind of damage. Either deep scratches on the surface or, in the case of shelves, wrinkled or chipped edges. A heavy black permanent marker is your friend. Well, it's the ability to read minds, since the instructions only give you a rough idea of how things work. You have to pay close attention to which parts are facing forward, as none of them are labeled in any way. the hole in which to attach it. Once attached, you will need to clear the…

The problem is that I have over 600 CDs. I want to install them in a 22 inch wide slot. That's why I ordered this spinning tower because its measurements only show a width of 18.75 inches...more than two inches to save money. I probably spent three hours putting it together because I bought the Revain-recommended steel platter with lubricated bearings separately. First I carefully assembled the tower (directions are clear). I then drilled through the underside of this turntable and used sheet…
