I am giving 4 stars only because I am not sure if it really seals out oxygen. The quality and size are great. It is easy to put the stopper in and take it out. I can smell the coffee with the stopper in so I am wondering if this is really keeping my coffee fresh. Obviously you can't smell the coffee when it is inside a mason jar but you certainly can with this coffee canister. Are coffee smells going out but no oxygen in? I don't know.

Visually, the container looks as pretty as I hoped. Love that you are able to see exactly how my roasted coffee beans look like and able to see how much is left fotino the outside. It also seems to do the job of pushing out excess air out as you close in the lid so the beans stat fresh. I only dock points for the fact that it feels fairly cheap in the hand as you hold it. This product actually works very well - better than plastic wrap, lime juice, etc. It's also reasonably easy to disassemble and clean. However, based on the type of plastic and wall thickness, I don't expect this to last long without developing a fatal crack that ruins the sealing capability. The other issue is the geometry of the container. Ideally, you'd like to whip this out of the fridge or cooler and serve it immediately. We use this to store coffee beans - maintain freshness of a 12 oz. bag after opening. The key advantage is clearly the lid's feature that pushes air out of the box and keeps the box sealed. It seems to work quite well. Without this feature we would use OXO sealed boxes that we use for other purposes. I got the smaller version and it is a nice container for my rice and as advertised, glass. So I unthinkingly went and purchased the larger containers for my kitchen. Very disappointed when the plastic containers arrived. The seals do not sit as well. The look is not nearly as nice. I am using them, but won't put them on display as intended.

We buy Costco bagels all the time and there is no clip or tie to re-close the bag. We’ve tried using many things but all were kind of a pain. Tried this. Amazing! Perfect size even for a full sleeve of bagels and lid goes on and off super easy, making it a perfect option. Great purchase.

Have coffee in one and flower in another and can still smell what is inside. Seems to be about a 90% seal. Disappointed, That's my review.

I have 2 of these to store raw pet food in the fridge. It does a great job, keeping it airtight and fresh up to 3 days. Easy to clean in the dishwasher. No complaints.

The concept of the push down lid is great and it works well. The dimensions are the problem. It is about 3.75 inches wide and 4 inches high. That is too narrow and deep. It makes both mixing the guacamole and dipping a chip into it awkward and messy. I will go back to using my previous guacamole bowl which is 4.75 by 2.5. I have a glass one that is taller and slimmer. It has a great suction grip. This one is plastic and larger but the ability to have good suction or pressure seal, it just isnt as good ad the glass one. I use it and until I get a better one and then I will use it for something that doesnt require a tight seal. I thought that from the same company it should have been as good as the other. Just not the case.

This item does only one thing: It removes the COLUMN OF AIR that would sit on top of your food if it were in the same container with a plain lid. It is NOT A VACCUUM! I have purchased three of these to store my regular and flavored coffees in. They look good in my coffee cabinet and the plunger style lid keeps it nice and fresh. They are a bit pricey but they were just what I was looking for.

This container is great. Some reviews say it is not airtight. I thought the same thing because when you put your product in the container and push the top down it is very easy to pull back up which makes it seem like it hasn’t sealed.but it has. It is easy to pull back up because the valves in the lid work both ways. If they didn’t, you would not be able to pull the lid up after pushing it down. I use these for my coffee at work and I have absolutely loved them! they are great for keeping my coffee fresh! I got some chalkboard stickers to stick on them and I think it turned out great! All in all, a great product at an affordable price!
