I bought this after my Keurig died. This was my second Keurig in 5 years (which has had moderate use at home). I also have a Nespresso so I really didn't want to buy another Keurig but I have quite a few k cups left. I bought it and it works just as well as my Keurig, if not better. Pros: Portable and easy to store. I don't have to waste valuable counter space. No descaling required. There is also no need to buy Keurig filters. The best part is that it tastes just like the $100 Keurig. No bad…

Garbage, NO RETURNS

I regularly go hiking and "tramps” where there is little electricity. So I thought making a cup of joe in the morning would be perfect for me. But I was wrong. I've tried it 3 times to play around with it and see if I can make a really good cup of coffee with it. When I first tried it, I made a cup of coffee in about 60 seconds. But it turned out to be too weak and orange. Then I realized that to increase the strength of the coffee, I had to press much slower. I did it. And to get a truly black

gap in time. Saves from headaches. The importance of using whole beans

UPDATE: Have been using it for quite some time and have some ideas. When I first pressed the pump, no water came out of the reservoir. Then I remembered what the other user had said and indeed the problem was that the little rubber stopper that was supposed to have a slot didn't have one. A thin line was visible where there should have been a gap. With a sharp knife I carefully cut the gap where it should have been and after that the block worked fine. In the troubleshooting list that comes…

I didn't want to love it though.

This funny little coffee machine is awesome! My second Keurig keeps failing (yes, I've tried every trick I can think of) and lately I've been using French presses. The main problem is that I still have a lot of K cups. I bought the Prestor on a whim - the price was right and it had pretty good reviews. I love it! You unscrew the base, insert the Ak mug, screw it on, add boiling water (or microwave), put the lid on, place it over the mug and press firmly. Did! I also like the holder that comes…

Perfect for camping apart from the crappy valve

rating updated I downgraded from 4 stars to 1 star after using it on a 2 day group camping trip. First, I lost a tiny valve before the trip. I had to buy a replacement for $2 plus shipping. But it was my fault, so no complaints from me here. However, the design of the valve is so bad that the engineers should be ashamed. Every time you try to use it, the valve will pop out of the hole, causing the coffee grounds to be ejected from the pods into the water chamber. Each subsequent pump pumps that

Would have been five stars if there hadn't been a big mistake

There is very little counter space in my house. I was fed up with my coffee maker taking up so much space on my precious desk, so I decided to try out some compact options that easily tucked away in my equally limited closet space. I first tried switching to a small French Press. I liked coffee but absolutely HATE cleaning it up and also hated the fact that I had to heat the water in another vessel. Then I tried AeroPress. Another great cup of coffee, but very messy, a bit complex, and all too…
