Bird resting place :)

I have four parrots (parents and two children) and mom loves this coconut! It's beautiful and spacious. I was worried at first because the first time she went in, the whole coconut started shaking like crazy (I thought the bird dad was with her, then I would understand the crazy shaking ;)). Then I realized she was trying to remove some of the fuzzy rope that was going through the coconut (I think to make it more convenient?). Either way, she sits happily inside while the other birds reek of…

Soak in baking soda!

This coconut was a pain in the ass, but it was worth it! It smelled to the point that the gecko wasn't using it, so I left it in water mixed with baking soda for a day and that took care of the smell too. Unfortunately, after soaking, the coconut shell became very rough, so I scratched the coconut and, believe it or not, SHAVED. I have a kid, Kresty, so I didn't want to risk it if he got splinters. You should definitely not do that! I just played it safe and now the coconut is super smooth all…

Coconut is not the best choice for English budgies

Be careful - this coconut has risk factors. My 3 month old English budgies love playing and nibbling on the coconut. One of them got tangled in the cord of the bridge coming out of the coconut. Luckily, he freed himself before he was injured. Then after I removed the string and bridge my budgies played on the coconut until another 3 month old budgie got his paw stuck in the small hole and dangled helplessly until I gently picked him up and freed his paw. She could have broken her leg! So be…

This is amazing stuff! The birds are so happy

My parrots love it! I'm expecting eggs any day. In fact, it's quite large and two birds can fit in it at the same time. My birds sit on it ALL day chewing and talking sweetly. Unfortunately, my only blue parrot also likes to chew on sisal rope and detach it from metal hangers. I've reinstalled it several times. As you can see in the photo he did it from the side of the stairs lol. I think it's an amazing price for this and I'd happily get a second for a second cage. My two birds used to fight a

Perfect for rats (and mice and hamsters I think)

I use this in my rat cage and my kids love it. They sleep in it, usually together. I actually bought 3 of these. They don't chew on it at all, once nibbling through the rope that the bridge hangs from, but this was an easy fix. I just have to replace them because they are old and worn out. The rats actually use the bridge, I usually attach it to the top shelf or just to the side of the cage which is trained to support their weight. Access openings are always very large, even my big ones have…

Need a different setting to be sure!

I really wanted to like these ladder type shelters but my canaries pecked and pecked at them until they fell off where they were pinned to the corner of the cage - thank god not a single bird got hurt. Canaries are always picky and also very curious, so we decided not to throw them away but to fix them up so that they can be used. I threaded the zip ties through the holes and attached one to the corner of the cage. Now he has a happily breeding female canary who has built her nest in it instead

Great for my parrot

Guys please tell us which bird you have when you leave a review! The person who gave the one star rating said his bird immediately gnawed through the suspension bridge. What was that, parrot? I have a parrot and I have studied the design and it will never chew on it. This is such an adorable accessory for his cage. I prefer natural materials (no plastic) in my life so it's nice to find something like this for my parrot. Did I mention I have a parrot? He was scared of him at first, I think…
