The stand was solid and fairly easy to assemble, the hook commonly used to attach a birdcage had no profile so it didn't stay in place to ensure a stable Stand to offer hook. Like some others in the reviews I was initially suspicious of the purchase based on horror stories of missing parts and crumbling coasters. This isn't the first time I've bought a cage stand. I've used table stands in the past and never liked the quality of them, the storage shelves underneath always looked cluttered when I was using them and they tend to take up a lot of space.
