Shop these great value treat clips and you can easily substitute fresh herbs and treats for your pet. Your bird (in my case a canary) will love you for it. Such a great idea - inexpensive clips to hold "treats" in place. For my canary, it's apple, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, whatever. A happy, healthy bird who wants more than just his favorite seed to supplement his diet :).

Very Good - Recommended

Not as strong as the purple ones I've had before but their stiffer plastic has broken down over time. They were a substitute for me and are used as romaine lettuce leaves for my budgies and canaries. It works well and is ideal for cage bars (0.5 inch). I gave it four stars because it doesn't hold the lettuce as tightly as the others. Sometimes the canary can pull the lettuce out of the clip. He could never do it with harder shades of purple. I think it's a compromise.

Only suitable for small bird cages.

They work well in small cages with thin wires and narrow bar spacing (e.g. larger trunks (exact diameter is not sure but is typical for medium sized birds). I have tried changing them or to "force" them into position but they break on my cockatiel cage, work great on my finch cage with tiny bars and tighter spacing. Someone really needs to make these cage clamps a little bigger as I need clips for treats and veggies!

  • Very good value for money

Do the job but a little fragile. One broke on first use.

I have some great treat clips that I got for my parrots a few years ago but I couldn't find them anywhere when I got my ray of sunshine recently. So I decided to give them a try - they're pretty easy to use, but one of them broke when I tried to put it on the cage. I wasn't strong or overly aggressive with him. But one of the sides holding the cage just broke off. It's still usable, but now I'm worried that I might move it too much because it's even more fragile now. I'll look around for…
