My bird is used to getting water from this device, it's cleaner and more hygienic than big cups. You can't poop in it. The bird quickly got used to it. I've been using this style for many years. It is cleaned with a bottle brush and is made of glass so it has natural antibacterial properties if you wash it daily.

I have 6 cockatiels and these water hoses are perfect. I used to have plastic hoses that never held water and would slide up and down in their cheap mounts. These glass tubes are great and come with a sturdy metal holder. I ordered 4, was so happy with it that I've ordered 5 more when I'm away for 3 days and need more drinkers. Great product for my cockatiels!

My bird was afraid of that at first. Even after she gets used to it, she won't use it. I think the product itself is a great idea. I love glass and the idea of keeping drinking water clean. If you want to attach it so that the tube is on the outside of the cage, it just goes through the cage's vertical bars. My cockatiel hasn't taken it yet, but it might work for your bird.

* For WATER DISPENSER - glass tubes are preferable to plastic tubes - because of better suction at the junction with the "L-shaped" feeder at the bottom - which like this product is made of hard plastic. You can adjust the suction power by moving the hose up a little to allow air to flow more freely when your bird inserts its beak into the dispenser to drink water.
