Softspikes Cyclone Fast Twist Ultimate Cleat Kit Review

Just what I need to replace the worn out cleats on my Footjoy golf sandals. I only had one stud that was difficult to get off and desperately needed a stud remover and that was the first one I tried to get off. I used a spike remover on the rest of the spikes and they came out very easily. First the new bolts were installed by hand, then I tightened them with an assembly tool. All of this took no more than 5 minutes. I'm very satisfied with this product.

The wrench they now supply to remove the spikes is fine. Pull her out right away. Worked great. However, the wrench they now supply to install the spikes is anemic, it does NOT provide enough mechanical advantage. The old wrench design has a wrench with two interchangeable heads with a good mechanical advantage in the design. Screw in by hand until you feel a click. It was very difficult to remove the old spikes. The tool didn't help; he just broke the old thorn. Of course, I played many, many rounds in my old spikes (some of which were worn to the bottom) and the sand and dirt became like concrete in and around the socket holes. Great Set. Obviously I waited too long to change spikes as I had a couple of stubborn spikes. While waiting for this kit I started removing my old studs with pliers and also tried the extrusion tool. About half passed without problems. I have tried the drilling method with others. Not recommended, but helped get a few more. I had one left and I tore it to pieces (pictured). Cleats on golf shoes never changed so didn't know what to expect, now my only regret is not having bought this sooner .
