The perfect app all

You must have one of these! If you are tired of cleaning plaster or glue from brushes, this is what you need. No more gesso/glue water. Always the perfect app

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Some difficulties

bad design good for painting, coloring and art supplies

I have bought 3 sizes of this item. they are not properly attached to the handle. After 2 uses, the silicone spatula comes off the metal part. I had to drill holes and use rivets to keep them from falling out. Very bad design

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • for seniors

No more killer brushes

I use them to apply plaster and gel for mixed media illustrations. I've destroyed more traditional brushes than I can count because both aren't easy to get rid of completely. This silicone brush is the perfect answer. Not only is it very easy to clean, but it also allows for the application of wafer-thin layers of media or paint. I will definitely buy all sizes.

Pros
  • Many will do
Cons
  • Not the best

Cheaply made best in brush sets

Silicone nozzle does not match the handle. There is a huge gap in the metal part that holds the silicone to the handle. Just made cheap. Also, silicone is so sticky (not like glue, just static or something), EVERYTHING sticks to it (dog hair, lint, etc), which isn't great when you're trying to work with paint. Have you ever tried to pull a strand of hair out of wet acrylic? Not funny. I have other silicone tools so I know this is not the material you need for a silicone brush.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good but not suitable for brushes

I have used silicone brushes of this type from other brands and the quality of these is not very good. It's not a clean edge, it's a bit frayed so you get ridges if you run it over paint or plaster, and the silicone itself sits in the odd center where it's neither soft nor hard, it's like a plastic eraser , which is tied to the end of a stick. with strong pressure, the whole head tilts backwards menacingly at the point where it connects to the handle; with light pressure, the color can hardly…

Why didn't I find out about this years ago?!

I LOVE IT! First I ordered 2", then 1". They are great for moving paint and leaving marks, scraping, applying broad strokes, spreading media, applying paper in a collage, or applying plaster to a canvas or board. They are simply AMAZING! They have well-sized handles that make them easy to hold and bend towards your head. Ideal for acrylic painting and mixed media. I have not used in any other environment. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to work with acrylic in a different way.

Excellent for applying plaster or other thick material

I had never heard of silicone brushes until recently when I saw a tutorial in an art magazine using them to apply plaster to a page. Of course I had to try it, so I ordered it from Revain. Using a foam or bristle brush wastes a lot of plaster. I winced every time I rinsed my brush and watched the excess go down the drain. This silicone brush spreads gesso evenly without brush strokes, leaving a bristle brush finish. What a great product. I love the results and the money I save by eliminating…

Pros
  • Brush
Cons
  • Great price

This is a good value brush because it looks and feels good. I've found that cheap brushes start scattering my media and glue very quickly - I haven't seen that happen. I had no problem with it as it is a hard silicone. Since it looks like a regular brush, you might be surprised when you get your hands on it - it takes a little getting used to, but I've found that it can be used to smooth out bubbles. As you go - on a large sheet of paper I still use the old credit card as it's wider, but for…
