A perfect match for the Prime-Line A 187 sliding door latch

Perfect for locking the Prime-Line A 187 sliding door latch. It just takes a bit of trial and error to find the perfect combination of height and door latch.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Only available in white

Stamped, not cast. and that's good.

These clasps were just what I needed. The previous purchase was an aluminum casting that was too big to fit in the door cutout. Worked well and I suspect they are even stronger than cast aluminum. Two thumbs up.

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate

Hardware and materials work as expected

Our newly purchased home had no latch on the screen door to the backyard. I measured the mounting area and checked the marked dimensions of the product. I used locally purchased barrel nuts instead of the hardware provided to install them for my application. Works great for us.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Reliable

Works well! for screen door hardware

We couldn't keep our sliding door open because the cats figured out how to escape. This small latch was enough to keep the screen closed so the door could stay open. 3 🌟 for durability just because it's brand new and only time will tell. By the way, they sent two, so if one fails, we have another. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏼

Does what it's supposed to do, but overpriced

We had a new patio door installed, low, and lo and behold, the part to lock the screen door was missing. It was easy to install and works great. However, the price shoots up. They probably cost 25 cents to stamp and charge $10. I had to buy them as I couldn't find others even at our local hardware store.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Expensive

Received early - works very well.

Worked fantastic. My screen door is locked again. Just had to find a place for it to work properly. The whole time it took me 5 minutes. Used an existing screen hole which worked very well. Now I have one more if needed. The original clasp was cheap and broken. Mickey's previous owner forged it to work without a replacement. This is very durable and will not break.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Saved my cat's life

My smart cat figured out how to open the screen door and climbed out and jumped three times to the edge of our third floor balcony. I don't know why so many screen doors are installed without a lock in the frame. My husband, a contractor, claimed there was nothing he could do but buy a new door, so I did some research and found it for a few bucks, and I'm very grateful. Works perfectly! Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not happy with everything
