Upon delivery I saw that the box it came in was bent at almost a 90 degree angle. I had no idea what was inside until I opened it and saw it was a front door strike plate. The size looked good and the material turned out to be good. but as you can see in the photo, it was badly bent in two places and that can't be fixed without a professional. So the footplate was unusable for me and I had to send it back.

I bought this because the 8"x34" from the local hardware store had it milled around my front door. It's definitely the right size for a door BUT it's considerably thinner. It comes with 10 screws that are flush with the panel, but DO NOT over tighten the screws as this will buckle the panel and create "ripples" on the outside. So just press them down slightly.
